What personal information does Mango Monkey collect?
Customer Information is requested whenever you choose to use Mango Monkey services or register for updates from us. We try to limit the type of Customer Information we ask for based on what aspect of our Service you are using. For example:
How does Mango Monkey use my personal information?
We collect your Customer Information so to provide you with a personalised, relevant, user-friendly experience on the Mango Monkey site. Here are the ways we use Customer Information to enhance this experience:
Customer Convenience: We use Customer Information to provide you with the convenience of easy access to the services you request. When you choose to order a Mango Monkey product, we will ask for credit card information and for your mailing address. Once your design is approved we will automatically charge your credit card for production, shipping and handling fees. We may also request information during the shopping experience to make purchasing an easier and better experience for you. For example, if you give us permission to anniversary dates, you won't have to give them to us again when reordering a calendar.
Customer Communication: We use Customer Information to communicate with you. We use your email and mailing address to inform you of site improvements, new features, newsletters, Mango Monkey promotional offers, and occasional third-party promotional offers that may be of interest to you. We use mobile phone to contact you if we have a question about an order and have been unable to reach you via the email address you provided during purchase. Only Mango Monkey (or agents working on behalf of Mango Monkey under confidentiality agreements) will send you these mailings or use your mobile phone numbers for these purposes.
Contests and Survey: We may occasionally request Customer Information through surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary. The Customer Information collected is only used for purposes of improving user satisfaction with Mango Monkey’s products and services, or in some cases, to notify winners and to deliver prizes. No Customer Information collected through these means is shared with or available to other third parties for such third parties' direct marketing purposes.
Tell a friend program: If you use our "Tell a Friend" program to refer Mango Monkey to your friends, we will use their email addresses to send your invitation and to acknowledge your participation as per terms of the program.
Customer Satisfaction: We use Customer Information to make your Mango Monkey experience the best it can be. For example, because we know who you are after you log in, we can present you with fast track reordering or promotional offers to celebrate your birthday. We also know where to email your design for final approval before we print it and let you know when it has been shipped. Furthermore, if, for example, we know you have children in your household, we may be able to send you a promotional offer via email for discounted Mummy cards and other related products.
Testimonials: Testimonials are used to demonstrate the benefits of Mango Monkey. Mango Monkey always seeks consent prior to posting any testimonial in which Customer Information is included.
With whom does Mango Monkey share Customer Information?
Mango Monkey shares Customer Information with third party intermediaries (for example, our website developer, credit card authorisation companies, mailhouses etc.) who help us run the Mango Monkey Service and Site. Your Customer Information is provided to these third parties solely for the purpose of providing you the services you request at the time that you request them. Third party intermediaries do not store, retain, access or otherwise use your Customer Information other than as necessary to provide you with the Mango Monkey service.
Other than as described in the previous paragraphs, Mango Monkey will not sell, rent or otherwise share Customer Information with a third party without your knowledge and consent.
Advertisers on Mango Monkey do not have access to your individual account information. Advertisers simply give us an ad and tell us the type of audience they want to reach (for example, digital camera users). Mango Monkey then displays the ad only to users who meet those criteria.
The one exception to the rule described in this section is the following: if Mango Monkey is required by law (or to protect its rights or property), we will disclose Customer Information to the extent so required.
Who sees my photos after they have been uploaded online?
Mango Monkey employees or employees of partner companies that provide services to Mango Monkey may see your photos while the products you have ordered are being produced. In addition, your photos or personal account information may be seen by Mango Monkey employees in order to evaluate, validate, or correct problems with your account.
The only time your photo will be displayed online is if you have submitted it for one of our occasional “Photo of the Month” competitions and in that situation it will be displayed as per the terms and conditions of that particular competition.
Does Mango Monkey use "IP Addresses", clear gifs and cookies?
Mango Monkey uses IP Addresses , Cookies and Clear Gifs in limited ways, as follows:
IP Addresses: Your IP address is the unique identifier for your computer – much like your street address identifies where you live. Your IP address allows for online information to be sent to the right computer. Mango Monkey uses IP addresses to better understand our customer database. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Web site. Your IP address is also used to gather broad demographic information such as geographic distribution of our members. We do not intentionally link your IP address to your personally identifiable information.
HTML Newsletters: We use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by the recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.
What does Mango Monkey do to keep my personal information safe from loss, misuse, or alteration?
Mango Monkey seeks to have reasonable security measures in place to help protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or data storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, although we strive to protect your Customer Information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us through or in connection with the Services or that is stored by us.
Your Customer Information on our Service is encrypted at the time of ordering or registering. As we are a small company, we use an external company World Secure Systems who specialises in credit card security to manage our online transactions on our behalf. World Secure System uses SSL - a specialised encryption and security technology -- to protect your Customer Information and you will see their name in all our order forms. We understand that the security of your information is especially important when you provide us with your credit card, billing and password information. In addition, we limit access of Customer Information to only those employees who need it to carry out their jobs. Otherwise the only time your customer information will be altered is if you have directly advised us to.
Please note, Mango Monkey will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited email. You will only be asked for your member name and password when you initiate the contact and only if the member name and password are necessary to correct a service problem.
What can I do to keep my personal information safe from loss, misuse, or alteration?
You acknowledge and agree that any information you transmit through the Services or upload for storage in connection with the Services is so transmitted or stored at your own risk. If you are using a public computer (public library, school computer, etc.) or a shared computer (family computer, roommate's computer, etc.), we strongly recommend that you complete your purchase and close your browser before getting up and moving away from the computer. This will prevent others from accessing your account and personal information. Please note Mango Monkey is particularly mindful of any information regarding children. Consequently, children under 13 are not eligible to be members of Mango Monkey.
How can I advise Mango Monkey of a change or mistake in my personal information?
Please contact us by emailing support@MangoMonkey.com.au if you need to advise us of any changes to your personal information. We will be introducing self-management of your information soon.

Notification of Change: If we are going to use your personally identifiable information in a manner that is materially different from that stated at the time of collection, we will notify you via email. You will have a choice as to whether or not we use your information in this different manner. In addition, if we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our database, we will post a prominent notice on our web site notifying users of the change. In some cases where we post the notice, we will also email users who have opted to receive communications from us, notifying them of the changes in our privacy practices.
